Easter Sonrise

Dear Stephanie,

Wonderful to celebrate Easter! I am glad you were able to participate in a Sunrise Easter Service in the Berkshires. Dad preached for the Jefferson Memorial Easter Sunrise Worship Service at 6am where people from many churches attended. It sure was cold down here, too. He preached about Chuck Colson's account of how with Watergate many faithfuls of Nixon ratted on friends and abandoned ship. He reminded us that after the resurrection, the discipleships were willing to give their lives for the sake of the Gospel. He talked about the power of the resurrection. Against the backdrop of the Washinton Monument and the Tidal Basin behind him, it was quite a sermon. All of the powerful decisions that get made in D.C. He has been challenging us to live dangerously. Not an easy task but worthy for we live only once. I want my God to take me where I would never have imagined I could go!

Happy Easter! God is good! He is worth it!

Love, Mom

Early Morning Revival 2007

What a joy it has been to see over 35 adults from EC join us for EMR! How about those Timothy students! 5am during spring break, they are such die hards. Monday it was about "Passion" and Tuesday it was about "Vision". It is awesome to see over 350 people gather early in the morning calling out to God for revival. It's infectious. See you there, you will be glad you came. Some people come with little children in their arms. Elementary students come with their parents. Some are in strollers. They seem to do well while all this is going on.

On Friday morning we will be having special prayer for the children at the alter. Want your children to be blessed? Don't miss out!

50 years old, yeah!

What a joy it has been to celebrate my 50th Birthday!

Especially when I received the following card from my daughter:

Happy Birthday,

I will Always Count on Your Love.

You loved me through all of my ages and stages-

the silly, the awkward, the difficult, too.

You counseled a little, listened a lot,

let me decide for myself what to do.

You helped me develop a confident spirit

by helping but letting me find my own way.

Thanks for your faith in me, thanks for the love,

and for being the mom I still count on today.

I love you!

You are the youngest 50-year-old alive, truly,

Stephanie Kim

What a joy it is to know that God has blessed me with the privilege of being a mother.

So imperfect am I as a mother but His grace has been and will be sufficient for my children. Praise God!

There is always so much to say, I am afraid to be too long or not mention everything. It's so much easier to just let thoughts flow without having to think too much. But maybe that would not be "thoughtful".

Life is full, busy. I have so many people I want to visit and spend time with. Frustrating that there is only 24hours.

So many people, so many lives, so much God is doing in the midst of them whether they know or not. Waiting on God-this can be hard. Trusting in Him-this is easier. Seeing how He uses me-this is delightful.

Thank you Stephanie for stepping up to make the Valentines Party a memorable one. It may have seemed too rowdy and at times the students did not seem to cooperate but look at the joy on their faces.

Thanks to the Timothy student leaders and members that made it worthwhile with your decorating, performing, mc'ing, making incredible desserts...!!!

I was in and out because of participating in the EC TMM(team management mtg). It was interesting that there was a lot of laughter at the meeting also. I just think all in all the joy of the Lord is evident and we anticipate awsome move of the spirit. Mid-Year planning is coming up in 2 weeks for EC. Pray that the Lord will reveal His heart and direction for us.

Elliott would not go to his own bedroom yesterday. He had so much fun and he was so excited he had a hard time settling down. He wanted to sleep on our bedroom sofa. This morning I noticed he moved down to the carpet with his pillow and blanket. He is such a sweetie-pie. He is excited to get together with his worship team today to practice and Stephanie has a load of friends from school coming over to our house for the MD/Duke game. I wonder when the snow will start...

Pastor Rhee is having a long overdue wedding reception for his son, John Rhee, who is back from his second term in Iraq last month. He has 2 children already! They own their own house and live in Georgia. All grown up, can't believe it. God bless you John. May your household be filled with His blessingsl

There is also a Korean worship concert tonight at our church as well...  But the snow....

I am helping my parents with considering selling their home and moving into a condo near church. I am also considering buying another house so I can have a clinic there instead of leasing an office. We'll See.  I have considered having a clinic in my basement but my family thinks it is a bad idea. Eventually, when the kids all graduate from HS in 41/2 years maybe I could consider it...

I place these thoughts into the Lord's hands and wait for his leading. He has great plans that He will unfold. I can't wait to unravel the gifts every day!
